Meet Megan + Wells! These two have a long history together and the story is one of the sweetest I’ve ever heard. They’ve been through lots of tough stuff together, which we just call LIFE, and have come out the other side with an infectious a deep seeded love. David and I met these two on the campus of the University of Alabama in the spring for their engagement session. We ended up shooting for 4 hours because it was so much fun with these two. The wedding was just the same. Megan and Wells have an incredible family and I’m so thankful to have met them. I’ll never forget the first time I met with Megan’s mom for the initial client meeting. What normally lasts 30 minutes lasted almost 2 hours. We talked very little about the wedding and very much about everything else. That’s “good people” right there. ;)
The moment I drove up to St. John Nueman church in Farragut for the rehearsal my jaw dropped, literally I’m sure. I’ve never seen such a beautiful church.. well I have been lucky enough to see Westminster Abbey in London.. which is crazy breathtaking.. however this is the most beautiful church in these parts I assure you. It’s an East Tennessee photographers dream. I hope you enjoy the shots of the inside as much as I do. I juiced them up with some Photoshop action to give it a little more “umph”… but it clearly doesn’t need it. I could keep typing about this for a while, but most of you haven’t read past the first sentence and just came for the images anyway.. so I’ll let you get to it!
Big thanks to Anna Hedges (you can find her link below) for being an awesome second shooter! Many on the images below are from her camera!

Blog post soon to come: A level of cool that never existed until the iPad.
What a party!! This is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think back about last weeks wedding. Stephanie and John are two lovers of a good time and so are their friends! These two were one of my very first couples I ever met with for wedding photography. I’m so thankful they took a chance on the new girl on the block because this wedding was a a BLAST.. or as they say in the south.. a hoot! I’m not going to mention the temperature for this outdoor wedding though.. the “feels like 107″ weather. My second shooter, Rachel Baker, put it perfectly when she said “I feel like I just jumped in the lake and immediately put my clothes back on.” Regardless.. this wedding was awesome and I didn’t want to be anywhere else! I tried to encourage the sweet owner of this private home to rent her back yard for weddings because it’s perfect!
This was the first wedding where I brought along the new Instax camera! I loved adding them to some of the shots just for fun and few of them are featured here! Also featured here is the great work of my second photographer, Rachel. Rachel is also ETSU grad! She has a minor concentration in Photography and is stinkin good! She’ll be moving to Johnson City soon (sad face) and will hopefully get a little photogaphy/art business up and running in the next year! Her desire is to take images from weddings or special events and create hand-painted canvases of the images. What an awesome idea!! I look forward to getting one of her art pieces in my office to fill these bare walls! If you’re interested in having one of your own, email me for her info and lets get her business started!!
Now… Stephanie + John!! See more on the LHP Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/knoxvillephotos
Okay.. for this wedding I have to make an enormous effort to keep this short and sweet… or I could easily type about this for the next 30 minutes. I’ll spare you that so you can get back to your fabulous weekend! This ceremony brought me to tears.. more than once! First of all.. Jackie + Princeton made it very clear that their ceremony was to be more like a worship celebration than an actual wedding. The first 5 minutes were packed with the most soulful singing I’ve ever heard in my life. There was a party going on in there.. much like the one I expect to see goin’ down in heaven. We had church before the bride even walked in. A-mazing! Then, the reception was filled with the BEST dance moves I’ve ever witnessed. There’s a lot of “BEST ever’s” being dropped here and I normally don’t like to say those words about anything.. but when I say best dance moves… I mean I went home and tried some of them just to see if my body would do that! No lie! I was so thrilled to be a part of this event. Jackie and Princeton are seriously perfect for one another and have such a love packed life ahead of them. My girls, Amanda (second shooter) and Tia (assistant/third shooter) brought the house down and much of their work is featured here. Thanks everyone who was a part of this party!
Now, we’re off to spend the entire weekend on the lake and by a camp fire. I can’t wait! I was checking out the calendar today and had a HOLY COW moment when I realized I have weddings every weekend until August starting next week! You better believe I’m not going to even think about a camera for the next 3 days! We have a sweet house sitter taking care of the pups and making sure the house stays put for extra relaxation. With that said.. I’m out!

Girlie, these are Fan-Freakin’-tabulous!!!!! (yes, I am sure that must be a word. haha) What a beautiful couple and gorgeous location. Way to go. And I LOVE those Instax shots. Super cute and fun.
You hit a home run on this one!
Girlfriend, GET OUT!!!! Those shots of their wedding date are ridiculous!!!!!
Hey Lori, They told me you had Stephanie and John’s pictures posted and I am not sure how to get to them. Can you send me a link or whatever it takes.
Thanks,
Kim Hinton
