Whitney + Jonathan said their “I Do’s” at a sweet 6pm ceremony at a private home on Douglas Lake. The day was perfect, warm and so beautiful! I haven’t spent much time on Douglas Lake, but after spending the day there I can assure you I will be seeing it again very soon! So beautiful. You know what else was beautiful? Whitney!! Not only was she stunning, this girl is so thoughtful and has a genuine heart of gold. She’s the perfect match for her new hubby Jonathan who is also just as kind and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. No lie, the love these two have for people will change the world… the world around them at least. I’m so thankful to have been a part of this wedding! My second shooter Amy Cupp is also a Knoxville photographer and she seriously rocked it. To see more from this wedding visit the LHP Facebook fan page —-> here
On a personal note.. this wedding was the 7th on an 8 week wedding stretch. Next week’s wedding is in Nashville and is the last until mid August which means next week is vacation time!! We’re packing early and stealing a few days away in Charleston with some fun loving friends. I’m also taking a much needed computer/facebook/twitter/email break too! It’s going to be glorious!! Look forward to all the pictures. Until then.. enjoy Whit + Jon!
Renae was one of the very first brides I met with last summer and I’ve been looking forward to her wedding ever since! These two were married at Hunter Valley Farms in West Knoxville and the location is perfect. I love shooting here and have booked a few here for next year too.. I’m pumped about it to say the least! This ceremony was intimate, cozy and full of love. There wasn’t one person who attended that Renae didn’t make an effort to hug and personally greet. Her heart is so big and I’m thankful to know these two! Geoff is in the Air Force and I felt very honored to hear a speech from his fellow Military friends. I couldn’t help but thank him for doing the tough stuff so that me and my family are safe. These two stole every moment of the day to laugh and love and I’m so glad I was a part of it.
On another note of thankfulness, my second shooter was the one and only photog pro, Melissa Hill. David and I met her and her husband through Twitter oddly enough about 5 months ago and have become super fast friends. These two rock in every way and so do their awesome friends we’ve gotten to know as well. Not only are they the coolest people around, Melissa is a super good photographer and many of her images are featured in this blog. You can find her work here and find her hanging with us if you’re looking for her personally.
Location: Hunter Valley Farms
Flowers: Flowers by Miki
I loved the lighting in the “brides room”
This next set is one of my favorites! As the bride and groom were leaving one of the Military men swatted Renae’s rear with their sword and said “welcome to the Air Force”! Loved it!!
here’s a few shots from Renae’s bridal session a few months ago!
I met Chris and Laura Beth, also known as LB, last summer. David and I traveled to Bowling Green, KY for their engagement session. It was my very first one and I was beyond excited with how it turned out. I’m thrilled for these two, knowing all the planning and hard work they put into their day…. because it turned out beautifully! We started the day at a little hair salon in Maryville where almost two years ago, I was shooting one of my best friends getting her hair done for her wedding. I guess officially, it was the first wedding I ever shot… although I was just a bridesmaid and no real deal photographer yet.. just big dreams. It was neat being in the same room with a much nicer camera living my dream.
This couple is super sweet and I’m looking forward to hanging out with them again this weekend for LB’s brother’s wedding that I’m also shooting!! Sorry such a short blog post.. I have two very anxious boxers by my side begging for a walk!
