The Party Closet is the latest addition to Lori Hensley Photography. We set it up in a hallway, separate room, outside.. away from where all the action is. It’s a great way to get some hilarious images of your guests being ridiculous or even scandalous if they wish. We make an announcement to the quests that the Party Closet is now in business and no prom-shots allowed. The most entertaining gets a prize! We are including the Party Closet in all 2010 wedding packages for free for two reasons. 1.) So we can get it just right when it’s time to shine and 2.) So we have lots of images to use as promo for the years to come! This particular wedding reception was on the shorter side so their wasn’t much time to get everyone to party… but we still got some fun shots! I’m currently editing images from this weekend’s Party Closet where the reception was closer to 4 hours long and people went nuts! This is quickly becoming my favorite part of the reception! Enjoy!!

I know I’ve said it before, but I must say it again! I love second shooting! There’s nothing quite like the thrill of being the lead shooter, but every chance I get to be a second, I jump at it! Here lately, I’ve been second shooting for the very talented and always smiling Anna Hedges! She’s so fun to work with and I’m up for it anytime she asks! As a second shooter, I have the chance to really get creative without the pressure of nailing the “must have” shots! I can focus more on grandma laughing and the flower girl picking her nose… those are my favorite shots.. the in-the-moment-don’t-want-to-miss shots. Here are a couple that I snagged from our last wedding a few weeks ago.

I’m so thankful to have been introduced to Vision Art books! This company is out of this world in their customer service and quality! My favorite days here in the office are when I hear the doorbell ring and I know it’s the UPS lady! I know exactly what day to expect these kinds of things because I track them online every few hours like a crazy person. Yesterday was one of those glorious days!

Included in one of my wedding packages or offered as an add-on is this awesome guest-sign-in book. They feature pages that the guests can write on a plenty of space to write or draw whatever they wish! My couples choose their very favorite engagement images to go into the album, then I use Adobe InDesign to put them together. I used to order an 8×8 in this album but thought it was far too tiny. Instead, this time I ordered an 11×11 and it’s perfect!  I’m delivering this one to the bride today and I can’t wait to see the look on her face!
