This week in Knoxville, you couldn’t turn a corner without hearing something about the massive snow headed our way. I loved overhearing conversations at the grocery store about it. My favorite comment by far was from the sweetest old man to his sweet old wife, “Honey you only got us 2 gallons [of milk]?” He was so worried and thought for sure he would be snowing in for weeks. Heck, we all did! Of course there are the skeptical ones… myself included who have been jaded by misjudgments of meteorologists over the years. It will snow all around us here in the Knoxville bubble and we never see anything but a “dusting”. So, when I heard this week it could be “1-12″ inches.. first I laughed because that’s such a HUGE range.. then I hoped… then I doubted. Bread has been flying off the shelves all week and I’ve loved watching the hysteria! It’s fun! In all seriousness I’m a little kid trapped in an adult’s body and everyone who knows me is certain of this fact. When it snows… I feel like the world is full of possibilities!I have to contain my excitement as not to seem like too much of a kid to the point where it’s weird. No lie!
Those of you who live here know that it did in fact snow! Of course 4 inches is no where near 12.. but it is just enough for me! I suited up in my snowboarding gear, drug my husband out of the house and headed to the spot I used to sneak to sled with my dad many years ago. It’s not as big as I remember it.. but still just as fun! Of course we took the camera in an effort to capture the best moments in our lives… and here is what happened next!
Once we got back home we thought we’d play a little friendly game of speed Scrabble! The best! He beats me EVERY SINGLE time!

Love the pics! Looks like fun! I was out with the dogs playing as well. I’m glad we got some snow, in spite of the hype of 17 inches! haha!
